I made this too easy on myself didn't I? I get to use the shop I work in to swap my trans and do other stuffs. Quite a bit more heated and dry than that spot under the streetlamp in my parking lot. I'm spoiled...

Oh it was auto? I have the original 4 speed with matching engine so I kept it and got the 5 speed to use. I just got a rear disk kit and new wheels, so hopefully soon I can get those going.

I just replied to him here with some pics. Ever think about an electric fan? If I could have a fan to turn on low, high and thermostat then if I got stuck in traffic I could just keep it on. I notice a lot of people at the track drive with the hood popped up to the first click so air flows out. I could try that. I live in Marin, which gets warmer than SF in the summer. I still have to get a nice radiator actually.

I have thought a little bit about a fan, but not too much. I live in St. Louis so heat and humidity are an issue so I'll probably get one in the future. Right now I plan on getting a Mishimoto radiator and all their hoses to keep my Z cool.

If you're going to be tracking your Z, I'd definitely recommend a nice radiator, dual fan set up and even an electric water pump.

I plan to turn my Z into an autocross/track rat so those are the bare minimum things I have planned to keep it cool.

I'm just going to do classic rallies. We have an organization in CA that does events to sort of counter the Foo Foo rallies for super expensive cars. But it has to be pre 73' and that's basically all the rules. A lot of rallies require original type of engine from the same manufacturer etc.. lots of rules.
